LEON

Opening scene -high up, point of view shot
Music – creates the sense of being foreign and the setting reflects that
They have used an extreme close-up which makes audience feel uncomfortable and not showing whole face which create mystery within the film.
As an audience, they will not be 100% sure what is going on at this point in time. Convention of a thriller
We are excluded from the story and what is happening in the plot
As fat man is getting changed quicker then usual and talking faster suggesting he knows what might happen and what it is do do with – anxious and tension
Non-diegestic
Zooming in the lift numbers to build up tension
Many guys surrounding him shows that he is important
Director- Leon putting the man that he killer before in the lift to build up tension for the audience  and it is a distraction the fat man’s security
Leon unexpectently pulls one of the security men down all those stairs with his tie
As the audience we don’t know who to feel sorry for because we haven’t seen all of Leon yet but we know guys are the villain because we saw the drugs
Conditional thriller- fast paced, heavy breathing suggest stress and scared.
The shot came from background- mystery
Non-diegetic sound- heart beat and when the knife touched his throat the music suggest
The black background suggest mystery
The girl seems like she doesn’t care
Leon killed his security but not him because it suggest that he is alone now
Non-conventional – comedy, Leon didn’t kill the women
Slowly and backs into the darkness
Left him alive to create tension and we will see what they do to him. He will be traumatised
He will be fitting in with the rest of the world
Music- calm and while the women is introduced
Women- smoking (too young) and it seems she is trapped because of the bares in front of her face. Feelings sorry for her as an audience, he feels for her and wants to know because of the bruises on her face. She lied to her so he walked of.She feels alone because she didn’t tell him the truth
The audience couldn’t see his face until he turned around – mystery when he turned around, he stared at the other guy suggest power
