Definition:

      The assembled spectators or listeners at a public event, such as a play, movie, concert, etc…

      The people who watch or listen to a television or radio program.

What is an audience?

      An Individual or collective group of people who read or costume any media text.

      An audience is a group of people who participate in a show or encounter a work of art, literature, theatre, music, video games…

Why are audience important?

      Without audiences there will be no media.

      Media organisations produce media texts to make profit.

      No profit = no audience.

Fragmented audience

      The division of audience into smaller groups due the variety of media outlets

How do institutions continue to make money?

      Nothing in life is free

      Free apps always have adverts, unless you pay to remove adds.

Types of Audience

      Mass audience – often termed ‘Broadcast audience’

      Niche audience- much smaller but very influential, a niche audience is a small, select group of people with a very unique interest.

      Every advertiser wants to target a particular type of audience.

The audience for this particular film will mostly likely teenage female because it is a chick flick and romance.
The type of people who would view this film would mostly be female teenagers as it is one of those story  where you just want it to become a reality.

At first, this would be viewed in the cinema and after people would buy it on DVD or Blue-ray.
The reviews on this film, I can't quite surprising because the reviews are convincing about this film a if you hadn't watched it before, you would want to watch it! However, some others reviews were a lot more harsh. For example, 'awful pictures based on Sparks' dopey romance novels.' But that would be written from a person who doesn't like love story movie and likes more action packed or adventure.

Another perosn stated 'a little surprising considering some of the violence in the beginning and some sexual content. It’s not really a film that will interest children and young teens, and it’s not appropriate for that audience, either.' 
With every movie, different people are going to think different because of the type of movie they enjoy and they are comment and criticize they different like.

In the film, I think there would be more a variety of people who want to watch this film. There is action, there is a fantastic story line and amazing, well known actors to play the roles of these intense characters.

Audience - People who like action and a story to follow.
