Pie Charts of Our Questionaire

From the answers that I receieved from all the questionnaires, I found out that the girls were more into the thriller than the boys and we got more detailed answers from the questionnaire from the girls as well. Some examples of this would be:

The pie chart above shows

The video below is for out final piece of music that we are putting onto our opening of our thriller.
We have chosen this piece of music because we thought that i matched the theme to our thriller and also linked to the childlike story with little Lily.

Today, Me and Ronnie came into A11, period 4 (free period for both of us) to try and complete and place 'twinkle twinkle little star' onto it as well. The video below is another development of our opening of thriller.

Poem - Lily

We decided to put part of a poem onto our thriller opening at the end. This is the poem below:
Lily stares, searching for an answer,
Through the glassy image in the mirror.
A crystal tear falls,
So small, yet holding so much.
She's silent but screaming,
Nobody hears.
We are going to place this into the thriller opening because I thought it would be a good change to opening to a  thriller film. We all thought by putting this onto our oening, that it will give the audience a good sence of what to going to happen next through out the film.

Out takes - 6th December 2012

This shot above is me droving the large stone onto the first square of the hop scotch. We had to practise this shot as I had to make sure that the stone would be on the square. It was harder than I thought.

The video shot is me holding the camera for a P of V shot and then I jumped into the next square. Simple but effective.
I wrote 'DONE' on the floor because we had finally finished our title sequence number two.

The two videos above are practises, one of emergency stop & two travelling along the road an us using a pan shot.

These two videos (above & below) this are of me in the car messing around with the camera. We were on our way home from filming. the car was lovely and warm and my fingers were defrosting since it was so cold outside!

Film development

*      This is where we are so far.

*      Before we have move some clips around so see if that works and changed the flashbacks to black and white

*      Whilst changing the theme of the title sequence to "dream" theme, we tried to make the writing stand out. On our 2nd title sequence that we filmed on the 6th December, the writing was a lot clearer because the boxes were bigger and so was the writing.

*      The music is on there now which gave the audience more to relate to because the music gives the audience tense.

*      There are some problems with the music. It does not make sense and makes no link towards the plot. Therefore we came up with the idea of cutting all of the music out of the thriller opening and focus on the shots and action within.

*      This is because Ronnie didn’t take into a consideration the sync whilst i was making this on the garage band.

*      Also although we have tried to make my voice to sync to her singing in the clip, we did not succeed with that.

*      Future improvements: We will try and find something simple for the music

*      We will also need to record me singing again, whilst looking at the clip, so I will know where about I can sing certain bits.

*      On the 6th, we filmed the car sequence and title sequence. For the title sequence we tried to get a lot variety with the shots.

*      The main reason we filmed on the 6th was because of the car sequence.

*      I will post another video diary of an upgrade version and the full version of our thriller.

Inspired shots

The Sixth Sense

This scene where the mother and son are in the car in a traffic jam because someone has fallen of thier bike and died.
What inspired us becauase this shot is the angle of the shot and shows the relationsship with mother and son but in our case father and his daughters.
It gives a sense of mystery as the audience as it  would want to know who the characters are, why they are important in this film and what has happened to Lily.
The audience want to know how the two relate to each other and in this case, the relationship between the two people in the car is they are all a family and the little girl dies.

The shot above from The Sixth Sense also inspired us because we used a similar shot in our thriller opening. We thought it would spook the audince out and hopefully the idea was to get the audience to think who Lily is, what is happening  and why what and happened to her.
